Navratri is a Hindu festival that is celebrated over nine days in many states of India. Dandiya is a popular traditional dance formerly from Gujarat and is played by natives in large circles during the festival.
Students at Kohinoor American School (KAS) enjoyed a fun-filled Dandiya Night. They came dressed in their traditional attire and participated enthusiastically.
Both staff and students danced to the beats of popular Gujrati songs.
It was wonderful to see our International students participate and learn the dance form from their Indian peers.
